“I was in Kiribati for three years where I witnessed first hand the effects of climate change. Sea-walls are now being breached more often by storms while lifeless trunks of once valuable coconut trees stand in sea water contaminated marshes. Many of my neighbors who lived closer to the beach have had to move their wells inland due to the rising tides and the fresh water lens shrinking. Climate change is real and frightening for these low-lying atolls and the I-Kiribati people.”

“Point of No Return” is not just another global warming film… It’s an ambitious and innovative media project examining the critical problems our society and our planet face right now because of climate change.

We have big ideas – but our project is laser focused on helping tell the everyday stories of the people and culture of Kiribati as they live their lives on the front lines of climate change. With that, we have a ringing success with our first official endorsement from the Global Dialogue Foundation – a non profit based out of Australia with a specific mission to help educate and bring to light Pacific Islander issues. Check it out! (read more to see the letter!!)
